After months of protests and civil resistance, the government repression has left at least 300 deaths, and countless of injured and unjustly incarcerated people, it seems the dictator Daniel and his regime have won the battle. Altough the reform that sparked the protests has been repealed, and the situation in Nicaragua has garnered international attention; enough to get the OEA involved, said protests have now been criminalized trough a new law, created with the intention of instilling fear and to keep people from protesting or speaking against the government; labeling those people as terrorists, completely laughable, yet, as i am writing these, the police, who are the government dogs now, with the help of paramilitaries groups are making ilegal arrests on people that have participated on the protest, or supported the cause in anyway; then they’ll make some ¨fast trial¨, judge them and condemn for a crime that could cost them 20 years of their life. Daniel Ortega is staying in power trough force alone, at least 70 % of Nicaraguans want early elections which is not something you can say freely now, if you dont want to go to jail that is. Its sad, but with this kind of dictator, pacific resistance just doesnt work, they only speak and understand bullets it seems, since that is what he is doing, with his armed paramilitaries he snuffs any kind of resistance, by now, we are the second Venezuela, i am so scared for the future of my country, and us. I’m holding onto my last glimmer of hope, because if this man stays in power for more than one year…may God have mercy on us, and i wish i was exagerating.

PLEASE READ THIS

i don’t use this website to talk about what happens in my country (nicaragua) but right now everything is upside down, Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo (president and vicepresident) made some huge changes to our taxes because they used money from our social security and we couldn’t handle any more bs so we began this revolution pacifically, but now college students are getting killed by the police, the government is threatening many people just to get them to shut everyone up who is against them, they burned and destroyed many universities, almost burned a building while people were inside, hurt many elders and kids, censored many channels on national tv to manipulate information, i’m just-

WE ARE NOT EVEN BEING VIOLENT WE ARE JUST PROTESTING PACIFICALLY FOR OUR RIGHTS, PROTESTING BECAUSE WE’RE TIRED OF HAVING A GOVERNMENT THAT JUST TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THEIR POWER, THEY TOOK EVERYTHING FROM US, WE CAN’T TAKE ANY MORE INJUSTICES, WE WANT THEM TO LEAVE

WE ARE GETTING KILLED AND WE ARE SCARED BUT WE WANT TO BE HEARD, WE NEED THE WHOLE WORLD TO SCREAM WITH US

NOS ESTÁN MATANDO

POR FAVOR AYÚDENNOS A SER ESCUCHADOS

Pray for Nicaragua

Please keep Nicaragua in your prayers, the government along with the police force, is killing our college students, they wouldn’t let us protest, they want to silence us; even the most peaceful protest is met with tear gas, blank guns and lately real bullets, there are at least 6 deaths; including a policeman. We can’t see whats happening in our own homes, because they are censoring the channels that dare show the events unfolding around all the country, specially our capital. It’s been days since the protest and the violence started and our president hasn’t shown face. Please pray for us, who knowns what’s gonna happen.

I usually don’t make posts like this, but this is truly a special case. Few of you may know this, but I am from Nicaragua 🇳🇮 and we’re in a state of emergency.

On Monday (April 16, 2018), the government of Nicaragua, lead by the president Daniel Ortega and the first lady and Vice President Rosario Murillo, announced another of many unconstitutional presidential decrees, this time affecting the social security system.

On Wednesday, civilians took to the streets to protest the reforms and since then my people are being brutally punished and coerced by force in order to stop them from speaking out.

Students and various universities have been attacked by government backed criminal task forces (shamelessly wearing the Sandinista party banneres and logos), national police, and the police’s special ops corps.

Many students and elders protesting the reforms, activists, and several journalists have been injured and robbed of their personal items and equipment.

Today, the violence escalate to all day long protests in many cities. The only independent channels broadcasting the attacks have been shut down, and can only stream through social media.

All state controlled agencies were instructed not to help protesters, this includes the firefighters and the Red Cross.

I have opted not to include pictures, since most of them are very graphic. If you want to find out more or see the pictures, search for #SOSNICARAGUA or #SOSINSS on twitter or Facebook.

Please help us spread the word and keep us in your thoughts and prayers! That’s all I’m asking 🙏🏼

It gets even better, because he was doing all of this on a pitch black night. This dude swam towards a lure, slapped at it with his glove, and when it got caught; he let himself float and tugged on the line so the fisherman thought he had hooked a 100+ pound salmon. Once he was finally up to the shore, he turned a flashlight on in the guy’s face and walked out of the water, saying “good morning, gentlemen. State fish and game warden, you’re under arrest.“

At this point, the guy who had reeled him in had literally fallen over in shock, and the other people with him were scared shitless. The warden whipped some citations out of a plastic bag in his wetsuit, made the trespassers sign them, asked if they had any questions, and then gathered all of their fishing gear. And he just. Walked back into the river. And quietly swam away, without another word.

This man is a legend.
